Our members are High School teachers in Nassau and Suffolk Counties in New York State.  LIBEC hosts two general membership meetings per year and promotes the communication and cooperation of Business Department teachers throughout Long Island.

LIBEC encourages high school students to further their education by enrolling in Business classes and joining the New York State Business Honor Society. More details on the Business Honor Society can be found by clicking here.

LIBEC is actively involved in the Business Teachers Association of New York State. Visit their web site for more information.

LIBEC hosts an annual competition of High School students in the spring at Commack High School where the students can demonstrate their knowledge and creativity in a variety of course related contests.   Winners are awarded plaques and honored at a luncheon in May.
